Rapid Assessment

Rapid assessments are utilized in order to determine learning gaps or learning loss among learners and will further be provided with remediation and intervention. The information from rapid assessment captures learners fundamental skills on literacy and numeracy that are needed to be successful in other learning areas (subjects).

This is also in support of DepEd order 34 series of 2022 that rapid assessment on fundamental skills are utilized by schools in the directions of the learning recovery and continuity plan.

Rapid Literacy Assessment for English and Filipino

The Rapid Literacy Assessment in English (RLA-E) and Filipino (RLA-F) is administered within 6 to 8 minutes in an interview (one to one) set-up with a learner (kinder to grade 3). The RLA-E and RLA-E measures a full range of reading skills that includes alphabet knowledge, phonological awareness, blending sounds, word recognition, fluency and reading comprehension. The results determines if learners are non-readers, beginning readers, emerging readers, full readers, and readers who can read ans write.

Rapid Numeracy Assessment

The Rapid Numeracy Assessment (RNA) is administered within 10 minutes to each learner in an interview (one to one) set-up with a learner (Kinder to Grade 3). The RNA measures fundamental numeracy skills that includes counting, place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, geometry and measurement and statistics and probability. The result determines if the learner is placed across the 8 stages of numeracy.

3

Rapid Assessment on Social and Emotional Learning

The SEL Rapid Assessment is administered within 10 minutes to a learner in an interview (one to one) set-up with a learner (K to 3). Situations are provided to the learner and they respond how well they do it. It determines the level of the learners disposition across five SEL domains: Emotional regulation, cognitive regulation, social skills, public spirit, and identity and agency. The result presents individual profiles with interpretation for each learner and if the scores are high or low.
