Senior High School Placement Test
The purpose of the Senior High School Placement Test (SHS-PT) is to guide students and schools on the appropriate track that students can be placed for Grades 11 and 12. The students are provided with recommended tracks suitable to enter starting grade 11.

The tracks include Academic Track (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics [STEM], Accounting and Business Management Track [ABM], Humanities and Social Science [HUMSS], General Academic Strand [GAS], Technical-Vocational Livelihood Track (Home Economics, Industrial Arts, Agri-fishery, and Information and Communications Technology), Sports track, and Arts and Design.

The test is composed of core competencies in English, Mathematics, and Science, Aptitude test, and Basic Interest Markers. It is best to give the SHS-PT at the start of Grade 11 or during Grade 10.

What skills do we measure for each track?
Each track are composed of specific factors of achievement, aptitude, and interest. These factors were derived using quantitative approach called factor analysis. Read the research here.
